Welcome to DMARC Aide Pro ("we", "us", or "our"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring you have a positive experience while using our application. This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our app.
1. Information We Collect
Personal Information
We collect limited personal information when you choose to submit support requests or satisfaction surveys:
- Name: A name you provide when submitting support requests (not necessarily your real name)
- Email Address: Your email address for communication regarding support requests
- IP Address: Your device's IP address is collected for security and support purposes
Non-Personal Information
Our app processes DMARC (Domain-based Message Authentication, Reporting, and Conformance) reports to present them in a user-friendly format. These reports may include IP addresses of entities attempting to spoof domains which by norm is considered a malicious act.
We may collect IP addresses, Autonomous System Numbers (ASNs), and Internet Service Provider (ISP) information of malicious users detected in DMARC reports. This data helps us combat fraud and enhance cybersecurity measures.
We also collect anonymous usage data and satisfaction metrics to improve our services.
2. How We Use Your Information
- Support Services: Personal information is used to respond to your support requests and provide assistance if this is what you requested
- Enhancing Security: Collected malicious IP data is used to report to malicious IP databases (e.g., AbuseIPDB) and to notify ISPs of offensive usage
- Product Improvement: Anonymous satisfaction and usage data helps us improve our app and services
- Machine Learning: We may utilize this data to improve our services through machine learning, aiming to reduce false positives and prevent wrongful accusations
3. API Communication
Our app communicates with our secure API servers for the following purposes:
- Support Requests: When you submit a support request, your provided information is transmitted to our servers via encrypted connections
- Satisfaction Surveys: Anonymous satisfaction data is sent to our servers to help us improve our services
- API Authentication: Secure token-based authentication is used for all API communications
4. Data Sharing and Disclosure
- Support Team: Your support requests, including your name and email, are shared with our support team to address your inquiries
- Malicious IP Reporting: We may share malicious IP data with third-party organizations that maintain cybersecurity databases and blacklists to combat fraud. However, we currently do not automatically harvest malicious IP data from DMARC reports.
- No Personal Data Sharing: We do not share your personal information with any third parties for any purpose.
- Legal Obligations: We may disclose information if required by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities
