The lab
From enterprise consulting to independent research
Ozar's founder has spent more than 25 years in software, across enterprise consulting and independent product development. The consulting years ran through IBM WebSphere, business process management and decision systems (BPM and ODM), and Java Spring, for clients in automotive and telecom. The product years have been Apple platforms and the web. Along the way he wrote a book on MySQL tooling for Packt and a Turkish-language introduction to coding with JavaScript (2020).
The lab's core discipline is building software that builds software: code generators, schema-driven scaffolding, process-management engines. Current research covers local LLMs in PHP web development, low-code patterns for legacy database migration, and email-authentication threat intelligence.
What's shipped
And maintained
CodeIgniter Wizard is a native macOS app that can scan an existing database schema and emit a working object-oriented CodeIgniter 4 application, with Shield-aware authentication and MVC modules for user and group management. On the Mac App Store since 2020 and actively maintained to date.
DMARC Aide for iOS and macOS converts the aggregated DMARC reports a domain receives into IP-level threat intelligence, with reporting to AbuseIPDB.
Parallel Search Deluxe for Mac runs one query across multiple search engines at the same time and shows each engine's results side by side.
BES Enflasyon for iOS tracks the real, inflation-adjusted value of Turkish private-pension (BES) contributions. A Pro edition adds multiple portfolios and iCloud sync.
Alongside the apps: technical books and a growing library of tutorials, in English and Turkish.
How Ozar works
Dogfood first
Every product in the catalogue exists because the founder needed it. Internal operations run on the lab's own project-orchestration database and tooling, and the systems that build the products are treated as products themselves: versioned, documented, maintained. The lab is deliberately small and deliberately niche, with no outside funding. Support answers come from the person who wrote the code.
Working with the lab
Licensing and collaborations
The lab licenses its code-generation and process-management technology to teams that want this class of tooling under their own brand. OEM and white-label arrangements, and select research collaborations, are considered case by case. Start the conversation through the contact page.
Ozar values
Quality, plainly
We hold our work to the standard we would accept as paying customers. If something we could sell you would not serve you, we say so before you buy.
Our privacy policy
Respecting your confidentiality
We collect little, and we keep what we collect to ourselves. Anything you provide is stored securely and is never sold or shared with outside parties.
Ozar's anti-spam policy
Few emails, on purpose
We send little email, even to subscribers. When we write, it is because a release, a fix, or an article is worth your time. Unsubscribing works the first time.
